Hobbies and Interests: I’m all about games — whether it’s chasing a ball or battling it out over a board. I love playing pickleball, ice hockey, beach volleyball, and soccer. And when I’m not running around, I’m probably scheming my way to victory in Catan, Risk, or Pandemic. Basically, if there’s a game happening, count me in — win or lose, I’m just there for the fun!

Favorite Food and/or Favorite Cleveland Restaurant: I grew up in Russia, so I love Russian food. Italian is a close second though. Mia Bella in Little Italy is great!

Favorite Music: Christian Worship Music - Brandon Lake, Phil Wickham, and Elevation Worship are currently my favorite.

Five Year Plan: I would love to do the Joint En Route Care Fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center, focusing on critical care and trauma in battlefield and evacuation settings. After that, I hope to join Samaritan’s Purse DART team and work in emergency field hospitals during disasters here and around the world.

If you weren’t doing Emergency Medicine, what would you be doing? I’d be an airline pilot—traveling the world, exploring new places, and getting paid to go on adventures seeing the planet every single day.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be? Replaying life’s best moments with the people I love most — from childhood, to meeting my wife, to the very first time my 2-year-old said “Daddy.”

Random Fact: I once got electrocuted with 220 volts on stage in front of an entire church in Russia. The worst part? Everyone thought I was just kidding and laughed… while I was literally being deep-fried!

Favorite Movie or TV Shows: My favorite TV shows are a three way tie between Modern Family, Bosch, and Sherlock. My favorite movie is Good Will Hunting.

Favorite Food and/or Favorite Cleveland Restaurant: Korean barbecue and my late grandma’s homemade spaghetti and meatballs. Favorite Cleveland restaurants: Angelo’s Pizza, Juneberry Table, Larder Deli. Does Mitchell’s Ice Cream count as a Cleveland restaurant?

Five Year Plan: I hope to practice in a hybrid academic-community setting in either toxicology or sports medicine, preferably in sunny weather!

If you weren’t doing Emergency Medicine, what would you be doing? Working as a foley artist in LA or inventing ice cream flavors.
