Five Year Plan: I am unbelievably blessed to be going to Washington University in St. Loius EMS fellowship next year and am hoping to move to Colorado eventually to be around my best friend, my favorite in-laws, and crazy gorgeous mountains. I will also most likely end up back in the Military as well in some capacity either via the Navy Reserves or active duty
Random Fact: I have three brothers: an evil clone who shares my birthday named Ben who has a full beard and has dedicated his life to non-profit work; an older brother Ash with whom I share a hero complex with who served as a U.S. Marine and is now an L.A. County Firefighter; and an even older brother Shane who shares my love of all things nerdy and who works as an editor and movie odd-job man in Hollywood. Before getting into medical school, I was a U.S. Navy Corpsman Field Technician (HM 8404) in the Reserves. I got to provide medical support for my Marines as we shot firearms and launched missiles into unsuspecting berms accused of conspiring against the U.S. government. In order to overcome my ultra-skinny scarecrow genetics, I enjoy reading fitness articles and designing routines to attempt with the hopes of someday being able to fight my way out of a wet paper bag should the need arise. I am also a gear-nerd; I like collecting camping and survival gear to prepare for the inevitable Zombiepocalypse. Emergency Medicine residency is actually part of my carefully laid plan to make myself indispensable to the new world order. I like to draw nerdy comic art when I have the time. My DeviantArt site is filled with pictures of knights and tactical heroes.

(She will happily borrow my medical textbooks, but has to cover up the pictures because they gross her out.) She has still been supportive all the way throughout medical school and residency. And I reserve the right to show you all the latest pictures of my adorable nephew.
